Lommefilm is a Danish based film production company, which works with user generated content (UGC) in the field of education.

Our activities are centered round films recorded with cell phones. We teach students and teachers at all levels, to use their cell phones to tell stories and document projects - and are stating that the cell phone can be involved in every subject in the Danish and European education system.

We focus on the cell phone, because it is the media of the young generation. They are very familiar with the media, and there work is characterized by an enthusiastic and intuitive approach. That means that the media is very fit to see the world through the eyes of the young.

By using the cell phone we involve and activate the students in a playful way to the issue at hand, whether the students are working with climate change, book reviews, health, mathematic or innovation. Our homepage at www.lommefilm.dk is an online teaching and film community, taking young people´s approach to social media seriously.

Our philosophy is, that in a culture dominated with living pictures, it is important to provide the young generation with tools to participate in that culture, encouraging them to become active media participants instead of passive media consumers.

During the past three years Lommefilm has worked with a broad range of and partners ex: The National Board Against Cancer (Kræftens Bekæmpelse), CPH:DOX (the the largest documentary film festival in Scandinavia), Danfoss Universe (a theme park focused on learning), The Danish Ministry of Education and several Danish municipalities.
